No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Website Hosting
We've resolved the issue of silent data corruption on our website hosting servers by using the state-of-the-art Z file system, or ZFS. The latter is more advanced than other file systems as it is the only one out there that checks all the files immediately by employing a checksum - a digital identifier that is unique for each file. When you upload content to your account, it'll be stored on several NVMe drives and regularly synchronized between them for redundancy. ZFS constantly examines the checksum of all files and in case any file is detected as corrupted, it is replaced instantly with a good copy from another disk. As this happens in real time, there's no risk that a bad file may remain or may be copied on the other NVMes. ZFS needs a lot of physical memory to perform the real-time checks and the advantage of our cloud website hosting platform is that we work with multiple very powerful servers working together. If you host your websites with us, your information will be intact no matter what.
No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you get one of our semi-dedicated hosting packages, you will not have to worry about silent data corruption because we use ZFS - a high level file system that keeps track of all the files in real time. Each time you upload a file to your web hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. The file will be synced between multiple NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take over. ZFS compares the checksum of all copies on the different drives and when it detects a corrupted copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from another drive. This is done instantly, so there will be no threat for any part of your content at any time. By comparison, all of the other file systems execute checks only after a system breakdown, but since they don't use anything similar to the checksums that ZFS uses, they will not detect silently corrupted files, so a corrupted copy may be replicated on the remaining drives as well and you can lose crucial data. As this is not the case with ZFS, we warrant the integrity of each and every file you upload no matter what.
